you don’t even know me

I posted this video on the vlog the other day…

…and then I found this clip of Tia/Tamera’s brother, Taj, addressing the same issue.  And i love it!  Makes me wonder if males are less sensitive to these things.  I mean, I already wondered that, but now i re-wonder.  Skip to 4:00 to catch the clip…

  1. If you have even an iota of insecurity about being biracial or looking ‘different’, let me assure you you exude charm and confidence in your demeanor (which is very attractive), and you have a beauty that is absolutely stunning and which most normal human beings would be attracted to. I personally LOVE your openness, humor, and willingness to discuss topics in order to open dialogue between ethnicities. You’re a breath of fresh air, and your blog goes a long way in promoting good-will between people of all skin colors. I am personally grateful that you’ve decided to be an open book and tackle hard issues……it’s about time someone did this without hostility!!!! You’re wonderful!

  7. Howdy, There’s no doubt that your site could be having browser compatibility problems.
Whenever I take a look at your website in Safari, it looks fine
but when opening in Internet Explorer, it’s got some overlapping issues.
I merely wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other than that, great site!

  8. The whole embrace black thing has been a huge struggle for me, I grew up in a white neighborhood, qnd my mom was black but she grew up in Hattie so the culture I learned from her was completely different and more like French culture (white) then African American. It is hard for me to befriend black people because growing up they had an expectation of me. On top of that I am on the lighter side so I may come of as Latino. But I have never been in an area with a fair number of Latinos and because I am not culruraly I don’t really fit in. And it’s not like I want to be part of some group, black white or otherwise, it’s just I am tired of feeling excluded.
