  1. the race part of the relationship is about your skin color, not your title. its based on appearance.

this is AMERICA, where the race system was made to be simple.

this is so pc…i hate pc.

  2. so, we should just keep looking at things the way they were set up hundreds of years ago? i don’t think that’s working too well for us.

  3. This is a beautiful post. Ummm…I feel sort of dumb. What is “pc?” *scratches head*

  4. Love this post.

AlwaysRight, I’d love your explanation of the simple race system in this country. Sounds… interesting.

  5. I’m sorry Tiffany, but I have to agree with alwaysright 101 on this one. The determination of what constitutes as an interracial relationship is mostly based on appearance in America, ie skin color or facial features. That’s just my opinion, though. I know your trying to make a point here, but it’s going to take America YEARS to get past skin color. So Halle Berry’s considered to be in an interracial relationship because she’s obviously NOT white and she has a white partner. Also, Halle Berry has identified as black. Barack and Michelle however both have black ancestry. So no one looks at Obama and says hmmm… why is that half-white guy with that black women. Do you get what I’m saying? I don’t mean to be rude AT ALL just stating what I’ve observed. It’s the crippling one-drop rule that still dominates people’s way of thinking, and I’m probably guilty of using it too.
