Guess who would have celebrated 85 years today….
Martin Luther King, Jr. became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for doing work to end racial segregation and discrimination in 1964.
That was 50 years ago!! Imagine what he would have done if he had lived to be 85!
I have often wondered what Dr. King would be like had he been allowed to live. Very few people seem to remember that his actual birthday is today, Jan. 15–I am so glad that you are acknowledging him on his actual birthday. Equally as important, I always wonder what the condition of Black people in American would be like today if Dr. King were still alive, and what would be the condition of Black/White race relations.
A remarkable man, loaned to us on Earth for a short time–I’m so very glad I was alive and old enough to experience him and the journey he took us on.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment 😉
