I’ve been tagged! 6 little known things about me…

the light-skinned-ed girl, lightskinnededgirl.typepad.com, has tagged me! thanks heidi! i think it’s kind of fun. now that i’ve thought of six things, that is.

here goes…

1. i won $32,000 on who wants to be a millionaire. daytime millionaire. with meredith viera. over 5 years ago, so the money’s gone, but the memory lives on.

2. aretha franklin caught me singing “freeway of love” in her kitchen when i was 10 years old.

3. i broke my neck on my 24th birthday.

4. i LOVE mcdonald’s. but don’t eat it often.

5. i wore heart shaped glasses from the 2nd thru the 9th grade. to make up for that i had lasik surgery and have 20/15 vision.

6. i feed my dog chicken or egg with broccoli for dinner. and i take him to the park in a stroller. he walks once we get there.

i feel weird about that now that it’s out there. i understand you now, heidi.

  1. Okay. You must tell us the story about facts #1, #2, #6. How fascinating!! $32,000 blown….Indy eating chicken/eggs and broccoli (lmao)…….wait-wait—ARETHAAAA!!! Girl, how could you keep something like that inside & not bust?!!

  2. ok…
    #1) I’ve only had a “steady” job for two years of my adult life and that wasn’t all that steady. When I won the money I hadn’t paid my rent in 5 months because I’d been unemployed or a while. And I live in nyc! So expensive!! I did nothing extravagant with the money. A laptop was my major purchase 🙂

    #2) my mom had a meeting at aretha’s house. while the meeting was going on in the basement i stayed upstairs and read a book or something. the excitement of being in aretha’s kitchen over took me and somehow i ended up standing in the middle of the room singing freeway of love and dancing a little bit. then i had that feeling of “someone has entered the room and is watching this private moment.” i turned around and it was aretha. she giggled. i nearly died. i mean really, i almost did. i was so embarrassed. i don’t think i uttered another sound til we got back to our car. and then i probably started crying.

    #6) indy is very particular and has a wheat allergy. for the first couple of years that i had him i tried dry dog food. i had to make a game of it and toss the food piece by piece down the hall, but he still didn’t eat very much. the vet recommended that he eat chicken and veggies anytime that he had diarrhea so i figured he could eat that all the time. the vet said ok. indy is so happy! he lives for food! when we go to michigan my mom makes him a pot of homemade chicken soup. that is def his fav!!

    Interesting stuff. I completely understand about how $32,000 in NYC won’t go far. I can’t believe how much my rent jumped when I lived on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

    So Indy eats top of the line EXTREMELY gormet dog food. Man if I ever end up homeless in America, I know exactly where to steal food from. lol (just kidding)

    I just noticed you tagged me so I have done it. I haven’t tagged anyone else yet. I have to decide who I haven’t tagged in a while. Read it and let me know your thoughts. Be sure to have some time on your hand, as you know I am LOONNNG winded. ha ha

    thanks for tagging me. ive posted mines today
    the episode of u on millionaire was it aired on tv? it’s so cool u won that much on the show. late congrats! omg u met aretha franklin im alittle jealous! lol i know about the heart shaped glasses from the vlogs on youtube. i had both glasses and braces since 8th grade. lol i looked like a straight geek omg. my dogs would wish they had food like indy. they just eat regular hard food. but stares us down when we start eating our own food. it’s so annoying at time. lol

  6. Yeah, I understand about the money. Especially with you living in NY….I just wanted to know how you spent the money!! Looks like you were very responsible about it. Having Aretha creep up behind me while I’m singing one of her songs? You think you “nearly” died? I would have just….Died. How brave of you!! Thanks for sharing that!! Your quite an interesting young lady, Tiff! 🙂
